Join us in Little Compton on May 2nd, 9 am- 2pm, rain or shine!!
Things to know before you go… some helpful info for navigating Plant Fair itself.
#1. Plant Fair is FREE. Bring a friend and a wagon to carry all your stuff because this is the coolest Plant Fair for miles around!
#2. There is NO GAS in Little Compton so don’t roll up on E. The nearest gas stations are in Tiverton and Westport.
#3. There’s a lot of walking. We are serious about the wagon…you might have to park farther away than you want to but it’s a lovely walk no matter what direction you arrive from.
#4. Plant Fair is BUSY. If crowds are not your thing it’s ok. Our gentle suggestion is to come a bit later. There are benefits to arriving later (after 12 noon); most growers don’t sell out and if you come later you’ll get better parking.
#5. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are cautiously allowed but please pick up after them AND keep them well away from the waterfowl.

The Sakonnet Plant Fair is held annually the first Saturday in May and brings in specialty and boutique growers from Vermont to Virginia to our beautiful hamlet of Little Compton for a community growing event that celebrates the best of gardens, spring, and local vibes! While many of the growers, writers, and shoppers that attend are well known, we also have spaces for local farmers and plant enthusiasts to stand alongside their colleagues and share in the excitement of a Spring Fair. The event is held rain or shine and brings literally thousands of both serious and casual plant enthusiasts to the Town Common! We always have great food, live music, and plenty of coffee to boost morale for the (probably long) walk back to your car with all your new plants! (bring a wagon!)
Every vendor donates a small portion of their proceeds to the Brownell House/LCVIS which helps us maintain the historic house and provides funds for our community support and service activities for the rest of the year.
The annual save the date announcement is published here in late January, in addition to Instagram and Facebook.
